Today I am going to take you with me to visit the wonderful medieval village of Bibbona. For those who have never been there, but also for those who know it, walking here is like taking a real plunge into the past, it is a unique experience among the narrow alleys, stone houses and stairways. In the centre, enclosed by majestic walls, stands the Castello di Bibbona and one of the few Romanesque churches in the area.
We are in a strategic geographical position, a good starting point for various excursions in Tuscany and for travelling along the Costa degli Etruschi. The area facing the sea, Marina di Bibbona, thanks to its mild climate, tranquillity and beautiful landscape has become a well-known seaside resort for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday immersed in nature. The real jewel of Marina di Bibbona is its coastline, which includes wide beaches of fine sand, typical Mediterranean maquis tombolos and characteristic dunes.
The property also has the flavour of times gone by, with its well-defined grit floors in the various rooms of the house, and a fireplace in the living area that makes it the meeting point of the house.
At present, it is structured with a kitchenette, a large dining room with the aforementioned fireplace, and an adjoining living room, which take light from both sides of the house, thus enjoying the sun from dawn to noon. Two large bedrooms and a windowed bathroom, but with a necessary renovation, the spaces can be rethought and revised to suit personal needs.
The jewel in the crown of this flat is undoubtedly the mezzanine with its large full-height windows overlooking the charming square in the centre and the belvedere that is a real gem. Set in the highest point of an ancient tower, it enjoys total privacy as well as a breathtaking view over the surrounding expanse as far as a glimpse of the sea, here a whirlpool bath would be the right place to enjoy life with a good glass of Terratico di Bibbona in your hand
