Today, aboard a splendid yellow duet, we enjoy the indescribable view of Cava d’Aliga. We are in Sicily, in my beloved Scicli and we travel along the wind in our hair via della Pace, a panoramic coastal road between fields, small houses and houses.
These places in winter rest waiting for the arrival of the summer season. This is in fact the destination for the inhabitants of Scicli and for tourists attracted by the rocky coast, interspersed with small sandy beaches.
Given the scarcity of large population centers, the sea here is particularly clean and allows bathers to enjoy the natural beauty of the small cliffs that at times, eroded by the swell, house cavities, sometimes real caves.
A real paradise is the Cave of the Smugglers that for a play of light in the early hours of the afternoon, the water entering is illuminated creating a real show.
Arrow right and here we are at the single house that we are going to visit. In the large asphalted parking lot of the property we find place in the shade of a norfolk pine which has reached considerable dimensions and, in addition to being of incredible beauty, attracts the gaze of travelers from afar like a beacon in the night.
After a quick visit outside the house we go to the large and beautiful garden facing the sea, we talk about almost 2000 meters of land in which to spend good times for those who have a green thumb to create a true paradise, or for those, like I love water … well it’s the ideal place to install a swimming pool.
The house is distributed over two floors to be restored, ideal for a splendid villa overlooking the garden with a living area on the ground floor and rooms on the beautiful first floor with a large terrace and surrounded by balconies.
An interesting alternative could be two apartments of modest size, but in an incredible context.
A noteworthy advantage of the place is the connection to the municipal aqueduct. Those who know Sicily remember the trucks that in summer have to bring water to areas not connected to the water supply, being part of it is an added bonus.
And now here we are ready with towels and costumes, already because a visit without a dip in these waters is crazy.
We walk along a dirt road, the area, and we enter a park that protects the coastal area. This is the ideal place for dwarf palm growth; after the red awl appeared in the area, a way had to be found to protect the palms. And so protected plant and super quiet beach.
