Sassetta, panoramic views in Tuscany

As you walk up via del Castagneto, you already catch a glimpse of my beloved Sassetta. To some, it may seem just a village of houses perched on a hill in the hinterland of the Costa degli Etruschi, but I assure you that walking through its narrow streets, admiring its small squares and taking in the view, you will feel surrounded by infinity.

Those who, in addition to relaxing, decide to dedicate themselves to wellness can benefit from the thermal waters at around 50° that flow here naturally. In the ancient village, you can admire the ancient Castle of Montalvo, a reminder of the period when Sassetta was a fief of the Spanish Montalvo family The Poggio Neri Natural Forest Park is suitable for those who love walking, offering a series of itineraries that wind for almost 2 km around the ring that wraps around Monte Bufalaio, with various points of interest and picnic areas. But Sassetta is also a desire for the sea, located a few kilometres from the beaches of San Vincenzo and Castagneto Carducci, it is an excellent base for a holiday discovering the Etruscan Coast.

But let us now visit our real estate proposal located on the first floor inside a historic house of the village renovated a few years ago.From an ancient entrance, a marble staircase leads us to the flat.

We enter directly into the living area with an open kitchen and a characteristic niche where the table is placed. Two large windows allow us to admire the surrounding hills, the ancient village and the castle, a panorama that will make our futures unique.

Two bedrooms, one of which is very large with an adjoining walk-in wardrobe, are located on opposite sides of the house and can comfortably accommodate 4 people. Definitely practical is the large ante-bathroom that serves as a storeroom and laundry room leading to the bathroom with shower, which is made more pleasant by a large glass window.

Welcoming, well-kept spaces and those wonderful wooden and brick ceilings, it only takes a few minutes and we are already at ease and that view then…..to live there, for holidays and why not also to rent, think about it.

But the surprises are not over, the flat has a communal garden with a well-equipped b.b.q. area, unusual for an historic centre but very useful and appreciated especially during the summer.
