Rango, portion sky-land in the historic center of the country

Rango is a more than peaceful choice for those wishing to relax, given the tranquility of the place and the small number of inhabitants living there. It is a small town rich in traditions and since 2006 it is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Located in the municipality of Bleggio Superiore, halfway between Madonna di Campiglio and Lake Garda, this Trentino village impresses you with its porticoes, cellars, hallways, barrel faces (portech) under which you took refuge in winter to protect from the cold.

Every glimpse of Rango tells stories of peasant life, conducted at a slow pace, when the days were marked by the rising of the sun and the ringing of the bells.
From mid-November to the end of December, with the characteristic Christmas Markets, the town is filled with illuminated stalls, housed under the portech, along the streets or inside the old peasant houses.

In the summer, then, between July and August, the Symposium of Wooden Sculpture is held, a week in which national and international artists occupy the small squares of Rango and Balbido to interpret the chosen theme on wood. Many of the sculptures created in past editions are exhibited open-air in the two villages.

What we are going to show you today is an earth-sky portion of the ancient village that has not undergone changes in its original structure over the years and runs over several floors.

On the ground floor there were the ancient wraps, where cured meats and cheeses were kept to mature, and it is still nice to visit in summer for the coolness that reigns there and that would be the ideal place to get your stube.

On the mezzanine floor the main access, via an external staircase, there are currently two rooms: a kitchen / living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.

The internal staircase leads us to the upper floor. On the left side two large rooms with a view of the square and the Rango fountain and on the right side a large room and another floor with an exposed roof. This last part, as well as having its own independent access from the side of the house, is a space that needs to be completely restored and shaped according to your needs.

The two entrances, the large interior spaces and the development on several floors allow to obtain a single large apartment or better yet two independent units, with different characteristics. On one side the vaulted ceilings, on the other the charm of the roof. All respecting the typical Trentino mountain architecture.
